The beginning to this Semester and Q3 has been fast and furious! Students are working hard to create artwork for the Annual QISS Art Show. We will be holding this years art show at the Qingdao Sculpture Garden Gallery and we are so excited for this opportunity!
Students are creating many collaborative and individual artworks to show and having a great time doing it!
During this time please continue to check in with your students to make sure that they are completing their work. This is pretty much the only time of year that LS students have homework in art class, and it's to make sure that all of the art gets completed in time.
We are coming up on our Chinese New Year holiday so I wish everyone a safe and happy holiday!
HAPPY NEW SCHOOL YEAR! I hope everyone had a fun-filled, restful summer holiday! I know I did!
But if I'm being honest, I missed all my Little Sharks and I'm so excited to finally have them back in the Art Room, making messes, memories, and mostly... ART!
It's the beginning of another fantastic year at QISS, and our Little Sharks have already started making some AMAZING works of art! We've been showing what we already know in Pre-K and Kinder! We practiced classroom procedures, following instructions, and flexing our imagination muscles in Grades 1, 2, and 3! ANNNND... the Grade 4, 5, and 6 classes have been learning about the International Day of Peace, and started planning their Pinwheels for Peace (that will be on display at the International Day Festival on September 22nd). *hint hint: MARK YOUR CALENDARS... it's gonna be great!*
Basically, we've been having a blast and getting back into our "Art Class Groove".
Look in the Gallery for a few photos from our first week, and check out the Inquiry Newsletter tab to find out what we will be investigating during this fun-filled first quarter!
Glad to be back with my Little Sharks!
